pixelchurch.co isn't a startup that discovered churches last quarter. It's the next chapter of PixelPainters — a design studio that has spent seven years making sermon graphics, worship slides, and series art for real congregations. Over half a million pieces. This page is the story of why we turned that library into a tool you can use yourself.

A few of the 500,000+ — designed by hand, one church at a time.
PixelPainters opened in 2018 as a done-for-you design studio for churches. Sermon series, worship backgrounds, social graphics, event promo — designed by people who understood that a church graphic isn't decoration. It's the first thing a guest sees on the screen, and it tells them whether anyone here cared.
Year after year we watched the same scene: a volunteer or a bivocational pastor, Saturday night, trying to make Sunday's slide in a free tool. Not because they didn't want great design — because a studio was out of reach and the sermon was already written. The churches that needed design help most were exactly the ones that couldn't buy it.
So we did something only a studio with a seven-year library could do: we trained a design engine on our own work — hundreds of thousands of real church designs — and built pixelchurch.co on top of it. Describe your series in a sentence, and it composes the whole kit: slides, backgrounds, socials, videos, Spanish versions, even layered Photoshop files. The taste of a studio. The speed of a tool. The price of a coffee run.
If a thousand churches used the same Canva file, it isn't design — it's wallpaper. Every style here was built from real studio work so your series looks like your church.
The big screen is the main stage. Everything we make is composed for the projector first — ProPresenter-ready, legible from the back row — and the socials follow.
One pretty picture leaves you with a dozen more jobs. We hand you the matched family: slides, backgrounds, socials, videos, week-by-week, en español.
No design degree required, no learning curve, no judgment. If you can describe your sermon, you can ship Sunday.

Founder · PixelPainters & pixelchurch.co
Josh started PixelPainters in 2018 and has been making graphics for churches ever since — first by hand, one client at a time, now with an engine trained on everything the studio learned along the way. He still reviews styles the way he reviewed client proofs: would this make a pastor proud to put it on the screen?
“We're not trying to replace church designers. We're trying to make sure the churches that could never afford one stop showing up to Sunday with a stock photo.”
Josh Starr — Founder · PixelPainters & pixelchurch.co
pixelchurch.co is the AI engine born from PixelPainters' half a million real church designs. Churches that want a full-service team can still work with the studio directly at pixelpainters.com.
Done-For-You
The original studio. Human designers, full service, since 2018. When you want it done for you — or want our team to polish what the engine made — this is the door.
